That musical sweet spot between Beatlemania and the Summer of Love. Where I lived, there were a dozen or so bands trying to match this level of energy, talent, and originality. They fell short, but it was a marvelous time.

That version of Going Down is arguably the best rock video/performance I have ever seen. Watched it many times. One of the great Rose Tattoo lineups plus Billy Thorpe. All three guitarists taken by health issues far too young - Pete Wells and Mick cocks from cancer and Billy Thorpe heart issues. Saw the Tatts last month in a pub here. Angry 76 years old and an excellent lineup incl;uding the drummer from these clips. Still powerhouses playing with tremendous intensity. The Bad Boy clip is actually one of their worst with a short lived lineup. Check out anything from Wakken Festival in Germany for some real Rose Tattoo or Tramp from the D'Arg Hotel last year.

Very late to your excellent entertainment. Born in Sydney at Malabar 1961. Went to all the pub rock bands in the mid 70s-late 80s. Parents 10 pound Poms / Cornwell. Went back for to the UK 1990s and love The Thamesmen references universe. "Will Bea Smith finally get her comeuppance?" But first put on the jug and enjoy Thamesmen. Old now and back in Sydney now. Great memories. Anyone yet mention MiSex. (Ultravox name). Computer Games? !978. A bit of early Aussie electro.

I love that you warned us you’d chatter the entire time, then fell almost entirely silent. Which is the best way to experience any of Tim’s stuff for the first time.

Such a brilliant rendition of the song. Its definitely grander, and more agressive than either the album version or Cash's cover, but it fascinatingly breathes a new lofe into this song. It feels less like a credits roll song after a suicide, and more like a revelation after an attempt.

I missed this comment by Alex but it's absolutely bang on. I'm paraphrasing but basically Alex said that if he was there, in that time, this would be a near staple. It's quintesentially Canadian, you had to be there at the time to really feel it beyond just a well written pop Rock song. But being a Canadian week it was a must. Have a good summer guys!
